When guiding others along the TWIM path, she bridges her expertise in modern mental health and training in early Buddhist teachings to create a research-informed, uplifting experience for meditators. She began studying with Venerable “Bhante” Vimalaramsi in 2013 and received certification to teach TWIM in 2020.
Cassandra is experienced researcher, clinician, and educator with demonstrated excellence in academic and community settings. Skilled in research design, trauma-informed intervention, public speaking, and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Dedicated to advancing psychology and transforming lives through direct intervention and systemic change.

Short Bio
Her early encounters in TWIM spurred confidence in the practice and dedication to sharing the benefits with others. At California State University at Long Beach, Cassandra led workshops with college students on meditation for stress management and overcoming imposter syndrome. She also facilitated a weekly sitting group for students.
Cassandra completed TWIM teacher training with Bhante in 2019. She went on to guide online, asynchronous retreats during the COVID-19 pandemic. Aligned with her professional interests, Cassandra has presented research at national and international conferences on meditation integration into therapy and as a self-care practice for helping professionals.
Currently, she co-facilitates a weekly TWIM sitting group in Austin, Texas. The Class focus on how to integrate loving-kindness–based mindfulness practices. At times her therapy clients attend when appropriate. They develop meditation for healing as well as a path of wisdom. She brings compassion, clarity, and grounded wisdom to meditation instruction. Integrating group learning and individual guidance, she supports students as they develop emotional resilience and deepen their benifits of the practice. Furthermore, Cassandra has taught TWIM meditation lasses and retreats to a wide variety of people around the US. She is dedicated to helping others experience wisdom, joy, wellness through TWIM principles and practices.

Weekly Saturday classes offer clear, step-by-step approach to learning how to meditate effectively with meaningful results. Practice begins by developing loving-kindness as your primary meditation object—or “home base.” for meditation. This foundation supports the cultivation of *Right Effort — a core skill — that helps you recognize and respond to distractions maintain a balanced, awareness. It is learned and developed through the Six Rs. a simple and reliable sequence of steps that naturally deepen your meditation experience over time.
The course has two primary goals:
1. To bring clearly and understanding about the value and principles rooted in foundation of effective meditation
2. To offer skillful guidance to use of the Six Rs that empowers and enables meditation skills that produce results for spiritual personal growth in everyday life.
