Venerable Obhasa

Venerable Obhasa is a Hong Kong-born Bhikkhuni and originally ordained in the Zen tradition. She later ordained in the Theravada tradition. Venerable is a postgraduate student of Buddhism in Taiwan, Buddhist and Pali studies and in Sri Lanka, including Buddhist Counseling study in Hong Kong. Beginning in 2015, she studied with Bhante Vimalaramsi in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and at the Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center in Missouri, She was certified in 2018.

Venerable Obhasa conducted voluntary works in South East Asia. She has visited the elderly centers in Hong Kong, a women’s prison in Indonesia, and hospital visits around Asia. She works closely for Hong Kong schools and designed and led a series of meditation workshops for students, teachers, and parents. Her valuable leadership has given them wholesome minds to seek wisdom and compassion in their lives.

In 2022, Venerable Obhasa lead a 12-day temporary ordination retreat at the Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center.
